Friday, January 23, 2009, EURISC Foundation organized in Bucharest at Hilton Hotel - Athene Palace, in partnership with the Center of Information for the Security Culture (CICS) - Romanian Intelligence Service, and the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), the launching conference in Romania, of the Intermediate Report – European Security Research and Innovation Forum (ESRIF).

The event also represented the inaugural in Romania for the European Year for Creativity and Innovation - 2009.

The main topics presented and debated with the representatives of the civil society and the private and public sector in Romania, referred to the importance of the good cooperation between the national and European Union institutions within the framework of a better understanding of the threats interdependences that exists in the European area, as well as possible solutions.

Established in 2007, the European Security Research and Innovation Forum (ESRIF) is a research group formed by European Union member states and supported by the European Commission, which has as the main objective, the medium and long term research and innovation development in the European security sector.
