The “Regional Center for Training and Research on Critical Services and Infrastructures Protection – PROCSI”, a project of EURISC Foundation was inaugurated in Bucharest, Friday, June 13, 2008.
This Center as a public-private initiative, will take advantage of the more than a decade experience of the EURISC Foundation in dealing with the problematique of the protection and resiliency of the critical services and infrastructures, at national and international level. With an international structure, PROCSI will promote the transfer of expertise in this domain from EU, NATO, UN, OECD, US, Switzerland, a.o. for an area limited firstly at the Caspian Sea, Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Central Asia and the Gulf region. The training courses for CIP officers, Country Risk officers, a.o. will be tailored, for the beginning, for one to three months. The research on Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resiliency in relation with energy security is intended to be dedicated on the practical aspects as well as advanced research in new generation of critical infrastructures with self healing, agile or intelligent capabilities. The stakeholders, such as national authorities, international organizations, public and private companies, academia research capacities and regulatory bodies will guide PROCSI as a regional actor in an emerging non-polar world. |
